Johnny Gil and Von-Cente met in Coimbra by the ice cream stand in Café Troika the last decade. They have shared several line-ups since then but it was in Lagos that they made their first back to back last January. Now they are back to the Algarve to warm up our night at Pedra Dura Festival.

Johnny Gil (Coimbra, 1988) is an effervescent character who has taken part in projects such as Le Cirque du Freak, Lavra, Gypos and A Velha Mecânica. He was born in Coimbra and studied there. He later moved to Lisbon and frequented venues such as Arranca Corações, Crew Hassan, Sabotage and Cais do Pirata. He currently lives in the countryside where he develops artistic projects with the cultural association Lúcia-Lima.
Von-Cente (Alcobaça, 1985) took part in musical projects such as Spartak! before his own aesthetic sense matured at a time of electro-punk, new wave, maximal, folk influences and reinterpretations of the ‘Portugality’ of the 2000s. Today, as a DJ, producer and personality, he introduces sounds wrapped in sophistication, love and tension: house tonic, mirror-like and brilliant.
