I was there, now I’m here
masterclass with Connor Scott
16 NOV — sat,
10h
Escola Secundária Júlio Dantas

For this workshop Connor invites participants to engage in various elements of their performative practice focusing on degrees of presence with the body and the surroundings. Together, we will propose small shifts of attention that impose us to be patient and attentive to the details of our small dances, slowly allowing them to grow and re-wild. By varying our modes of transporting the body from place to place, we will listen to what moves us and, in return, what we move.

Connor Scott (Blyth, 1998) works in and around dance as a performer and choreographer, collaborating with artists such as Theo Clinkard (UK), Michael Keegan Dolan (IRE), Bullyache (UK), João Dos Santos Martins (PT) and Marcelo Evelin (BRZL). Originally from Blyth, Northumberland and based in Lisbon since 2020, Connor was a student at Rambert School before studying in PACAP(6) at Forum Dança. Their work is often a process of putting into practice alternative ways in which they wish to occupy the body.
