Icona is the third and final part of the triptych that arises from Silvana Ivaldi’s appropriation of Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. The previous episodes - Dolce Still Nuovo [2020] and Haze Gaze [2022] - were created based on the chapters Hell and Purgatory, respectively.

Silvana Ivaldi (Bordighera, 1987). Graduation: Fashion Design – Master: Image Design. Based in Lisbon, she explores and creates poetic forms through visual, performative and spectacular mediums. She is an artist, performer, costume and graphic designer. She lived in São Paulo (Brazil) between 2011 and 2014, where she worked with Maurício Paroni de Castro and Alvise Camozzi (theatre) and Letícia Simões, Kapel Furman e Ana Carolina Teixeira Soares (cinema). In the last few years she has been working with: Pedro Barreiro, Ricardo B. Marques, Fernando Brito, André Uerba, Joana Castro, Bruno Alexandre, André de Campos e Diana Niepce. In 2017 she created her first solo, Uma faca na mão, uma lira na outra, in 2020 her second, Dolce Still Nuovo, and now she is preparing the next one for this year, Haze Gaze. She founded two cultural associations, Sr.João and Activo Tóxico. She is associated artist of Cão Solteiro.
